Ballpark Synagogue

  • Well, considering the name of this template, the heading, the "article history" link, and that there's only one link in the hook, it's a pretty safe bet that it's Ballpark Synagogue. I've made it bold in the hook. MANdARAX  XAЯAbИAM 01:37, 28 May 2015 (UTC)
  • Created on 27 May so new enough, 2377 characters, neutral and an interesting wee article. Article is well sourced and hook is sourced to a New York Times article. @E.M.Gregory: two things before i approve, one can I ask that the sentence The city attempted to revive the neighborhood. in the history section is sourced or removed and 2 is Ballpark Synagogue it's common name. If not article should really be called the official name of the Synagogue. Blethering Scot 16:27, 28 May 2015 (UTC)
  • On the name, "B'nai Israel" is carved in stone on the facade, but "Sons of Israel Synagogue" is far more frequently used in sources. It would be the preferred name of the 2, because it was the name in common use when the building was a house of worship. Certainly, it is the formal name of the building in it's former use. More recently, Ballpark Synagogue is favored by many news articles and in social media. I'm good with whatever WP practice is on repurposed buildings.E.M.Gregory (talk) 16:46, 28 May 2015 (UTC)
  • Thanks for fixing the sentence. There is certainly on doing a quick google search enough of an argument to state that this is the WP:COMMONNAME. Unless anyone else objects to the name i feel this is good to go. Blethering Scot 17:13, 28 May 2015 (UTC)
