Athletic Bilbao in European football
[edit]- ... that in 172 official UEFA matches played by Athletic Bilbao in European football, the club only used one player who was a full international for a country other than Spain? Source: Athletic Club all players at Bdfutbol
- ALT1:... that between 2012 and 2018, Aritz Aduriz scored 34 goals in 48 matches playing for Athletic Bilbao in European football? Source: Aritz Aduriz at Athletic Bilbao

QPQ: Done. |
Overall: QPQ not needed, as this is your 2nd nomination. I prefer ALT0, which is far more interesting and fits in what the average fan knows about Bilbao (though I'm surprised there weren't more French entries). ALT1 is not particularly interesting. SounderBruce 21:33, 9 October 2018 (UTC)
- Hopefully that is the sourcing dealt with now, if not please let me know?
- Just for info if interested, I presume you read the note in the article, they have had two high profile French players but by coincidence Lizarazu never played in Europe and Laporte hasn't been capped for France (almost all every other nation would have by now). They have a new signing who is a Romanian international but they aren't in Europe this season and he hasn't actually been involved in matches yet, so it will remain just Amorebieta for at least another year.
- The numbers for Aduriz in ALT1 aren't particularly eye-catching, however I think it's likely to be the highest total of any player in the Europa League during that period (particularly the last 3 years where its 28 in 34). If you think including that aspect would make it a better hook than ALT0, let me know and I'll try to find a source for it. Thanks. Crowsus (talk) 22:14, 9 October 2018 (UTC)
