Antonio Oseguera Cervantes
[edit]- ... that suspected drug lord Antonio Oseguera Cervantes is also known as "Tony Montana"? Source: [1]
- Reviewed: Template:Did you know nominations/Clifford Kinvig
- Comment: Most sources are in Spanish. Hook cited by Milenio newspaper.
Moved to mainspace by ComputerJA (talk). Self-nominated at 19:08, 9 April 2017 (UTC).
- Article is new, sufficiently long, Earwig check returned confidence, source, though in Spanish, shows clear reference and the article is written in a neutral language. QPQ done. Good for promotion. jojo@nthony (talk) 11:50, 11 April 2017 (UTC)
- @ComputerJA and Tachs: This nomination needs to conform with Wikipedia policy on BLPs and the present hook is unduly negative. We are not allowed to say "suspected drug lord" in the hook - an opinion rather than a fact - and a new hook is required before this can be promoted. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 05:40, 30 April 2017 (UTC)
@ComputerJA and Cwmhiraeth: suggest a tweak as below:
- ... that Antonio Oseguera Cervantes, who has faced trial for suspected drug trafficking, is also known as "Tony Montana"?
- I actually like this new hook more than mine! ComputerJA (☎ • ✎) 14:46, 30 April 2017 (UTC)

Template:Did you know nominations/Antonio Oseguera Cervantes Having discussed the suicide of a wrestler, perhaps you could look at this approved article about a suspected drug lord and consider what hook is appropriate. It's not clear to me that he has been convicted of drug trafficking, but the whole article concerns his criminal activities and reputation. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 05:28, 2 May 2017 (UTC)

- ALT: ... that U.S. citizens are prohibited from engaging in business transactions with Antonio Oseguera Cervantes? ComputerJA (☎ • ✎) 19:52, 2 May 2017 (UTC)
- The ALT hook suggested by ComputerJA is acceptable and has an inline citation. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 13:11, 3 May 2017 (UTC)
