- New enough, long enough, neutrally written, adequately referenced, no close paraphrasing seen in English-language source (I also checked the foreign-language source with Google Translate). I think the hook would work better if you specified what the "accident" was – i.e. a fall from the rings. Also, I found in this English-language source (see footnote at bottom of page) that the fall occurred during a practice session; does that information also appear in your Slovenian source? No QPQ needed for nominator with less than 5 DYK credits. Image is freely licensed. Yoninah (talk) 22:17, 4 October 2016 (UTC)
- The source says that it happened during the first day of competition, it does not specify whether it was a practice session. I cannot access the google books source for some reason? I agree, we can add that he fell from rings to the hook, if this does not make it too long. Feel free to change. Tone 07:40, 5 October 2016 (UTC)
- @Tone: How's this:
- ALT1: ... that Slovenian gymnast Anton Malej, a bronze medallist in the 1928 Summer Olympics, died after falling from the rings on the first day of competition at the 1930 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships? Yoninah (talk) 11:27, 5 October 2016 (UTC)
- I agree with Yoninah that this article meets the DYK requirements of newness and length, neutrality and policy. ALT1 is acceptable and has inline citations, and the image is in the public domain. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 18:33, 9 October 2016 (UTC)
