Alysia Rissling
[edit]- ... that Alysia Rissling was the pilot for the first ever all-women four-man bobsleigh run in a sanctioned race after the event became gender neutral? Source: "On Saturday, in Park City, Utah, Alysia Rissling will be the first person to pilot an all-women’s four-man sled in a sanctioned race." Gillespie, Kerry - Toronto Star: "Canadian bobsled pilot Alysia Rissling breaking new ground"
- ALT1:... that Alysia Rissling had to raise $100,000 in order to purchase a bobsled to compete in, after the Canadian Bobsleigh Team allocated the money towards the men's team? Source: "Paying close to $100,000 for a sleek black shell on steel runners and not much in the way of steering wasn’t in her original plans. She’d hoped to get one from Bobsleigh Canada, but when the team decided to allot a new sled to the men’s third-ranked pilot rather than Rissling, the second women’s driver, she felt she had no choice." Gillespie, Kerry - Toronto Star: "Passion for bobsledding slippery slope for Canadian Rissling"

- Article is new enough and long enough, and meets the neutrality and sourcing requirements. Earwigs detects no possible copyright violations. This is the nominator's first DYK nomination so no QPQ is necessary. Although both hooks are interesting, it would be better if ALT0 goes up since being part of a first all-woman team seems more interesting than raising money to compete in a competition. - The phrasing in the hook ("all-women four-man bobsleigh run") and article ("first female four-man team") is very odd. Yoninah (talk) 22:22, 25 February 2018 (UTC)
- ALT2:... that Alysia Rissling was the pilot for the first ever all-women team in an official four-man bobsleigh race after the event became gender neutral?
- @Toreightyone: OK. Could you also fix the article, please? Yoninah (talk) 08:54, 26 February 2018 (UTC)
- Done @Yoninah: Is that alright? Toreightyone (talk) 20:31, 26 February 2018 (UTC)
- Yes, thanks. I added another source to update her performance at the 2018 Winter Olympics, and did the same to Heather Moyse's article. Restoring tick per Narutolovehinata5's review. Yoninah (talk) 11:55, 27 February 2018 (UTC)
