Alfred Lindon
[edit]- ... that Le Salon de Madame Aron (pictured) by Édouard Vuillard was stolen from Alfred Lindon by the Nazis in 1940 and not returned to his family until 2006?

- The length and date of creation are both fine, and the copyvio check didn't return any suspicious results. However, the hook needs to be directly cited in the article. There are a few citations at the end of that paragraph, but the sentence containing the hook must be directly cited to a reliable source. The painting image appears to be public domain, so that looks fine.-RHM22 (talk) 21:57, 15 February 2015 (UTC)
- Ref 12a Christie's now confirms the seizure and restitution in the provenance section. Philafrenzy (talk) 01:37, 16 February 2015 (UTC)
- Philafrenzy: Sorry if I was unclear, but I was referring to this sentence: "The painting was not returned to Lindon's heirs until 2006 after the National Gallery of Canada identified it as a work with an incomplete provenance and advertised its existence." As this is the sentence used for the hook, it must be directly cited.-RHM22 (talk) 02:07, 16 February 2015 (UTC)
