[edit]- ... that Alex Owumi (pictured) played basketball for a team owned by the family of Muammar Gaddafi on the brink of the Libyan Civil War? Source: "When US basketball player Alex Owumi signed a contract to play for a team in Benghazi, Libya, he had no idea that his employer was the the most feared man in the country. Nor did he guess the country was about to descend into war." ([1])

- Comment: There are many different gripping hooks that could be used. Feel free to suggest more.

- The article is new, long enough at 51 000+ bytes and definitely interesting. I'm not quite happy with the wording of the hook, though, so I would suggest ALT2 be used. Both options are well sourced, as is the article as a whole. There are also no license concerns regarding the image and it is of good enough quality to feature on the home page. QPQ has also been done. Liam E. Bekker (talk) 11:01, 6 June 2017 (UTC)
- Comment: I forgot to check during the initial review - Earwig's raises some concern re copyvio but a check of it shows the concern relates to a quoted and referenced section of the body. Should be no problems there. Liam E. Bekker (talk) 11:05, 6 June 2017 (UTC)
