Akane Takada
- ... that after a knee injury at age 12, ballet dancer Akane Takada waited over a year to physically grow enough for corrective surgery? Source: "At 12, however, a serious injury almost put paid to Takada's childhood dreams. 'My ligament snapped during a rehearsal of La Bayadère and my kneecap slipped out of position. It was so painful — it's still traumatic if I think about it. I had to stop training immediately, but I was too small to have surgery so I needed to wait almost a year and a half to have it'." (The Times [1])
- ALT1:... that Akane Takada was promoted to principal dancer of The Royal Ballet at the unusually young age of 26? Source: "She was, after all, only 26 years old, seven years younger than the average principal dancer." (Bloomberg [2])
- Reviewed: Johann Baptist Sigl
- Comment: If ALT1 seems too ambiguous (26 years old is unusually young for a principal dancer, not in general), clarifying alterations or suggestions are especially welcome.

- 5x expanded, long enough and neutral. No other problems with the article. I'm happy to promote ALT0, which I think is the more interesting one. However, you could just add to ALT1 that 26 is 7 year younger than the average principal dancer. In any case, both hooks are interesting, and included and sourced in the article. QPQ has been done. I'm accepting in good faith, because I can't access the full version of The Times article. Achaea (talk) 20:45, 16 January 2020 (UTC)
