Agnoprotein
[edit]- ... that agnoprotein (pictured) is found in two polyomaviruses that can cause human disease, JC virus and BK virus?
- ALT1:... that the polyomavirus agnoprotein (pictured) derives its name from "agnosis", meaning "without knowledge", because it was so poorly understood?

- QPQ done. Hook cited and reliable / interesting. Appropriate length and new enough. Meets all other criteria. GTG. (Per an ANI decision, this requires a second review.) LavaBaron|OFFICIALLY RECOGNIZED AS MOST POPULAR DYK EDITOR IN HISTORY 06:41, 4 August 2016 (UTC)
- Note: tweaked the first hook here, since these viruses can cause disease, but usually are harmless. Opabinia regalis (talk) 17:23, 4 August 2016 (UTC)
- [2 of 2] This article is new enough and long enough. The ALT0 hook is OK and I guess I can AGF ALT1. The very nice image is appropriately licensed, the article is neutral and I detected no policy issues. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 18:13, 4 August 2016 (UTC)
- A slightly improved second hook: ALT 2:... that the polyomavirus agnoprotein (pictured) derives its name from the Greek agnosis ("without knowledge"), because it was so poorly understood? Neutralitytalk 05:04, 8 August 2016 (UTC)
- Went with Alt 1 to prevent the double parenthesis sentence structure. MPJ-DK 14:15, 20 August 2016 (UTC)
