- Actually there are multiple online references for the event. Here is one: Σεπτέμβριος 1955: η τρίτη άλωση p. 32. It is in Greek but it clearly states that the Church was burnt during the 1955 riots/pogroms. There are also sources in English which support the event. Δρ.Κ. λόγοςπράξις 22:24, 5 January 2013 (UTC)
