Adoration of the Magi (Veronese)
[edit]- ... that in 1670 agents of Cosimo III tried to buy the Adoration of the Magi (detail pictured) by Veronese by bribing every member of the Venetian confraternity that had commissioned it?

- Created within date, with sufficient length and proze size. Hook accepted with reliable off web sources. Is the image public domain in the US? There appears to be a template problem on its description page. Forgive me if I'm wrong, as I'm not knowledgeable on uploading paintings. Gareth E Kegg (talk) 23:44, 18 December 2013 (UTC)
- Certainly it is, it was painted in 1573! Most old paintings have had that template glitch for a year or two, since some idiot changed the template names or something. Because Commons is such a mess there are no instructions as to what template you are supposed to use or why anywhere. There is just a message in pure goobledygook on the error message. - Nominating for Dec 25. A detail might make a better pic, which I may manage to do. Johnbod (talk) 14:06, 18 December 2013 (UTC)

- *I moved this from the special holding area until it is approved and have emboldened it's a Christmas nomination SagaciousPhil - Chat 15:23, 18 December 2013 (UTC)
