Abu Firas al-Hamdani
[edit]- ... that the Hamdanid prince Abu Firas (pictured), widely regarded as one of the greatest Arab poets, wrote his most renowned work while a Byzantine prisoner of war?
- Reviewed: Spanish conquest of the Maya
- Comment: Other hook suggestions welcome.

- "one of the greatest Arab poets" is not neutral. Eurodyne (talk) 03:58, 27 February 2015 (UTC)
- @Eurodyne: Well, he is commonly held to be of the greatest classical Arab poets, and has been so since his lifetime. What if the hook were rephrased as "considered to be one of the greatest Arab poets"? Constantine ✍ 08:10, 27 February 2015 (UTC)
- That would be more neutral, but could you find a source? Did I miss it in the article? Eurodyne (talk) 22:06, 28 February 2015 (UTC)
- It is twice referenced in the "Work and legacy" section: the first two sentences, and later on "have secured Abu Firas' place among the greats of Arabic poetry". Constantine ✍ 08:55, 1 March 2015 (UTC)
