2009 All-SEC football team
[edit]... that the 2009 All-SEC football team included two Heisman Trophy winners, Tim Tebow of Florida and Mark Ingram, Jr. of Alabama, as well as convicted murderer Aaron Hernandez?

- This article lacks the inline citations required by DYK to back up the hook facts. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 05:49, 29 June 2015 (UTC)
- This article is new enough and long enough. The hook facts are now sourced with inline citations (although #1 does not work for me). The article is neutral and I found no close paraphrasing. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 05:32, 7 July 2015 (UTC)
- The hook is great, but misleading. He wasn't convicted of murder until 4 years after playing on the team. The hook makes it sound like he was a convicted murderer playing on the team. Yoninah (talk) 19:15, 7 July 2015 (UTC)
- It's a fair point. Not sure if I made it worse:
- ALT1:
... that the 2009 All-SEC football team included two Heisman Trophy winners, Tim Tebow of Florida and Mark Ingram, Jr. of Alabama, as well as Aaron Hernandez, who was later convicted of murder?Cake (talk) 19:21, 7 July 2015 (UTC)
- @MisterCake: please do not edit the hooks, but provide a new ALT so editors can see the history of the discussion. I restored the original hook and listed your ALT as ALT1. I don't think ALT1 is bad, it just lacks that punch. Yoninah (talk) 21:02, 7 July 2015 (UTC)
- I do apologize. This nom-article seems to have demonstrated well how I learn through error. Perhaps "future convicted murderer" is better. Cake (talk) 22:51, 7 July 2015 (UTC)
- Yes, that works! Here is the new alt:
- ALT2: ... that the 2009 All-SEC football team included two Heisman Trophy winners, Tim Tebow of Florida and Mark Ingram, Jr. of Alabama, as well as future convicted murderer Aaron Hernandez?
- ALT2 hook refs verified and cited inline. ALT2 good to go. Yoninah (talk) 10:02, 8 July 2015 (UTC)
