- Please note that I tweaked the blurb, so the character count the bot is showing will be incorrect. It should still be under 200 characters, if I'm counting correctly. Giants2008 (Talk) 21:54, 29 September 2016 (UTC)
- Giants2008, I'm afraid that the changed hook comes in at 201 characters, which is too long. I'd recommend avoiding the repetition of all or part of "NCAA Men's Division I Basketball" in the hook, which would also solve the length problem. One possibility, which comes in at 168 characters:
- ALT1: ... that in the 1966 Championship Game, Texas Western became the first team to field five African-American starters in an NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament final?
- If you'd prefer a different wording, please provide it as an ALT2; do not change ALT1 or the initial overlong hook. Thanks. BlueMoonset (talk) 15:34, 14 October 2016 (UTC)
- The new wording seems fine to me. Giants2008 (Talk) 23:02, 14 October 2016 (UTC)
- Full review needed now that hook is set. BlueMoonset (talk) 23:45, 14 October 2016 (UTC)
- Confirming the bot assessment of satisfactory newness, length, referencing, lack of copyright problems, maintenance tag free. Correct person is credited. Hook ALT1 is 168 chars, short enough. QPQ OK Hook ALT1 is in the article, referenced and confirmed by citation. Good to go. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 10:16, 25 October 2016 (UTC)
