Usage
[edit]Note that non-administrators should not close discussions as delete, except for orphan TfD and CfD closes (WP:NACD) |
Use this template if an editor closed an Articles for deletion or other deletion discussion with a consensus of delete, but the page still needs to be deleted.
For a redirect: {{db-xfd|votepage="name of the page"|redirect=yes}}
For other pages: {{db-xfd|votepage="name of the page"}}
The votepage parameter is required for all archived TfD, CfD, RfD and FfD discussions. Omit the first slash in the wiki-name and everything before it.
- For example, to link to Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Log/2022 June 10, add this to a category page:
{{db-xfd|votepage=Log/2022_June_10}} - The rest of the link "Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/" will be inserted automatically because it is in the category namespace.
The parameter is optional for AFD and MFD discussions, and is only necessary to indicate the subpage name in umbrella nominations. For RfD discussions, the redirect parameter must be set to "yes" in order for the link to show up correctly. For pages where discussions are not where they are expected to be (e.g. userboxes in the templatespace at MfD), use the fullvotepage parameter with the entire page name, including namespace.
Administrators deleting pages with this template should link to the deletion discussion in their deletion summary, rather than listing it as G6.
This template places the page in the categories Candidates for speedy deletion and Candidates for technical speedy deletion.
