Template:Crater cargo propulsion
Usage
[edit]This template provides an editor shortcut for including propulsion information for Crater-class cargo ships in the ship infobox. Within the {{Infobox ship characteristics}} portion of the infobox, place this template in the "Ship propulsion" field as follows:
|Ship propulsion={{Crater cargo propulsion}}
which will display like this within the infobox:
Propulsion: |
|
Optional engine builder parameter
[edit]If you know the engine manufacturer, you can use an optional parameter to select the proper engine manufacturer. (See List of manufacturers below)
For example, if the engine was built by General Machine Corp., you would use the parameter value of "GMC" like this:
|Ship propulsion={{Liberty ship propulsion|GMC}}
which will display like this within the infobox:
Propulsion: |
|
Optional reference parameter
[edit]If you are using http://www.mariners-l.co.uk/LibIndex.html as a reference for a Liberty ship article, the engine codes at that site correspond to parameter values listed below.
You may also use the optional "ref" parameter to create a reference to that site. Use the first letter of the ship’s name as the value for the "ref" parameter. As an example, the ship SS George Washington Carver is listed at that website on the page http://www.mariners-l.co.uk/LibShipsG.html. Take the first letter of the ship’s name — in this case "G" — and use that as the value of parameter "ref" like this:
|Ship propulsion={{Liberty ship propulsion|11|ref=G}}
which will display like this within the infobox:
Propulsion: |
|
The citation would appear as follows:
