Usage
This does what it says on the bottle. It is a wrapper around {{Cite book}} which fills out some of those fields. It also allows some additional parameters to be passed in (see Cite book: documentation for more details):
- chapter=chapter name — useful for the name of a parliament (see below)
- chapterurl=URL — to link to the first page in the book of a parliament
- chapter-url=URL — an alternative name for chapterurl
- pages=pagenumbers or page=page number — Required for a full citaion:
- ref=harv — This parameter is used to link this template to the templates {{sfn}} {{harvnb}} or {{harv}} when they are used in short citations and this template is placed in a general references section
- mode=cs1 — This parameter defaults to "cs1" but can be changed to "cs2" as used by {{citation}} see Help:CS1#Display options
- postscript=character — This standard parameter is used to alter the character used as a postscript. The default is a dot "." postscript=none for none (as used in {{citation}})
The template takes one additional parameter called "part". Part can be set to:
- part=1 or part=I
- part=2 or part=II
Part affect the presentation of the template. If part is set then the title changes to
- Notitia Parliamentaria, Part I: Containing an Account of the First Returns and Incorporations of the Cities, Towns and Broughs, in England and Wales, That send Members to Parliament; ...
or
- Notitia Parliamentaria, Part II: A Series or Lists of the Representatives in the several Parliaments held from the Reformation 1541, to the Restoration 1660 ...
and if the parameter "page=" or "pages=" is set the Google Books URL will link to the (first) page in the correct part of the book.
List of parliaments with page numbers
The help aid navigation to the correct page here is a list of parliaments with their corresponding page numbers in Part II of the book (Willis is not consistent with his use of Old Style and New Style dates so the first column uses the date that the parliament assembled from the list of parliaments of England):

This member index and the list of parliaments with page numbers can be used to find the page in any parliament where a member is mentioned. On the pages next to each member's entry can be found the constituency they represented.
For example, the first entry in the members index is for "Abbot, Daniel, 284". Looking at the list of parliaments with page numbers it can be seen that page is within the bounds of the "Second Protectorate Parliament (Parliament at Westminster, Anno 1658-9)" (pages 272 to 284) and turning to page 284 The entry reads "Counties of Tipperary and Waterford, Sir John Reynolds Kt, Daniel Abbot."
