NZLII has consolidated acts and secondary legislation and fetches data of these from the Parliamentary Counsel Office's legislation.govt.nz website.
Usage
[edit]The necessary value for the Link name parameter can be obtained from the NZLII URL (it consists of the initials of the short title, the year, and the number of the item in that year, so if you know this information you can compose the short name that way). As an example, for the Civil Defence Emergency Management Act 2002, for which the URL is http://www.nzlii.org/nz/legis/consol_act/cdema2002275/ the link name is "cdema2002275".
- Consolidated Acts, bills, and historical bills
{{Cite Legislation NZ|legislation_type=act|link_name=|legislation_title=|legislation_number=|clause=|clauses=}}
- Where the clause parameter is supplied, a reference to that specific clause will be provided.
- Where the clauses parameter is supplied, a reference to those multiple clauses will be provided.
- Same argument structure for a bill or historical bill. Just change legislation_type to either bill or hist_bill, respectively.
- Consolidated secondary legislation
{{Cite Legislation NZ|legislation_type=secondary|link_name=|legislation_title=|legislation_number=|clause=|clauses=|secondary_type=}}
- Where the clause parameter is supplied, a reference to that specific clause will be provided.
- Where the clauses parameter is supplied, a reference to those multiple clauses will be provided.
- If you have supplied either the clause or clauses parameters, you must pass a secondary_type parameter. This can be order, regulations, or rules. This ensures that the referencing of the clause uses the appropriate referencing style.
- Repealed Acts
For repealed Acts, it works the same as consolidated Acts, except change act to repealed_act.
- Revoked secondary legislation
For revoked secondary legislation, it works the same as consolidated secondary legislation, except change secondary to revoked_secondary.
