{{American transit ridership}} provides daily (weekday) and annual ridership values for specific transit agencies in the United States and Canada.

Usage

  • {{American transit ridership|dailydate}} returns the period for daily (weekday) data, for example: weekdays, Q2 2024
  • {{American transit ridership|annualdate}} returns the period for annual ridership data, for example: 2023
  • {{American transit ridership|dailydateasof}} returns the period for daily (weekday) data and is intended to be used after the words as of, for example: as of the second quarter of 2024
  • {{American transit ridership|dailycitation}} and {{American transit ridership|annualcitation}} are equivalent. Each returns the source for the daily and annual ridership data, for example: [1] allow reuse of the citations within an article.
    • {{American transit ridership|dailyref}} and {{American transit ridership|annualref}}
  • {{American transit ridership|[State | City | Agency | Modes] daily}} and {{American transit ridership|[State | City | Agency | Modes] annual}} returns the daily and annual ridership values, respectively, for the specified transit agency whose headquarters are in that city and state. In most cases, both daily and annual data are available. The format is generally two-letter postal code abbreviation, followed by the city. If there are more than one agency headquartered in that city, the transit agency name is added. Some agencies have more detailed breakdowns by mode.

For example, {{American transit ridership|AZ Phoenix Valley Metro LR daily}} returns the daily (weekday) ridership for the Valley Metro light rail (LR) system in Phoenix, Arizona.
