In this table, however, the Speaker, who usually does not vote in the Commons, is listed separately, and his seat and the 34,617 votes he received have been removed from the Conservative tally.

  5. ^ BBC News lists the National Health Action Party together with Independent Community & Health Concern (formerly known as Independent Kidderminster Hospital and Health Concern), as the smaller was affiliated with the larger, for a total of 20,210 votes. The Guardian lists each party separately, Health Concern having received 7,211 and National Health Action having received 12,999 of the 20,210 total votes the BBC attributes to the National Health Action Party.
  6. ^ The BBC groups together the votes under the Scottish Christian Party (1,467 votes); Christian Party (1,040 votes); and Christian (698 votes) labels, for a total of 3,205 votes. The Guardian lists these designations separately.
