Tekaman Village
Appearance
Tekaman is a place on the main island Nuribenua of the Tabiteuea atoll in the Gilbert Islands of the island state Kiribati in the Pacific Ocean.[1] He belongs to the district North Tabiteuea. In 2017, the place had approx. 244 inhabitants.
Geography
[edit]Tekaman is located at the northwestern tip of the island and is next to Tekabwibwi the northernmost place of the atoll. To the north extends a Burch of the Atoll, which is spanned by the Tekaman Causeway dam, which leads to Tekabwiwi in the north.[2] In the village there is a traditional collection house: Tekaman Maneaba and inside the island stands the Catholic Church Atinbanin Iesu.
In the southeast, Tanaeang is the closest place.
