[edit]Infobox portrait: what evidence that it's a self-portrait?
[edit]I've taken a look at the portrait in the infobox, and while it's painted by the artist, I can find no evidence that it's a self-portrait. Indeed, the title given on the Polish Paypal site where it comes from gives it the title "Herrenbildnis" (and the date of 1917, the year he died), which translates as "portrait of a gentleman". Under the circumstances, I don't believe it can reliably be claimed to be an image of the artist. BlueMoonset (talk) 04:43, 16 December 2012 (UTC)
- A "portrait of a gentleman" is not the actual title, and neither is this a police manhunt. The chances are good nevertheless that the painting was left unnamed because it was a portrait of self. Poeticbent talk 09:33, 16 December 2012 (UTC)
