Airline name
[edit]I believe the airline's name is Zoom Airlines (ref. [1]), not Zoom UK. So shouldn't this article be moved to something like Zoom Airlines (United Kingdom)? -- Hawaiian717 15:03, 4 May 2007 (UTC)
- If you google Zoom UK it is the name that appears in the press reports.MilborneOne 20:05, 4 May 2007 (UTC)
- I'm not familiar with the situation, but it looks like there is both. I don't particularly care at this point one way or the other which we call it. We'll have to see what they call it once it gets going. -- Hawaiian717 20:10, 4 May 2007 (UTC)
- Good evening all, I happen to work for Zoom Airlines Ltd. I am cabin crew and i will have you know that we call our company Zoom Airlines Ltd, with the Ltd differentiating ourselves from Zoom Airlines Inc. So please let this be some information to you. Zoom Uk is a nickname some press have used, it is incorrect. For if you look on our website, we refer to us as Zoom Airlines Ltd. http://www.zoomairlines.co.uk Have a glance under company info. Any other deviation from this will render wikipedia's article on Zoom Airlines Ltd. to be invalid thus untrustworthy. In addition, we have yes, leased one aircraft from the International Lease Finance Corporation , a boeing 767 that was given back from Air Europa. In addition, we do not have 16 destinations, we have 2, Bermuda and New York, Zoom Airlines Inc. ( Inc being the the canadian division) has 14 destinations not 16. In addition, please i urge you to please provide sources for your information "Milbourne", this is supposed to be a database with information backed up by proper sources. Rest assured, I along with several others will be monitoring as we do not want our company information tarnished by the general public who think they know, but they don't. Thankyou and I look forward to further collaboration regarding this article. 189.167.101.169 19:45, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
- I have used the trading name Zoom UK as that is what all the press reports have called the airline, quite happy to be corrected, I was just leaving it for know until we see what the company calls itself when they start the service in June. Do we know if 767 EC-HKS has been painted the same as the canadian aircraft (it was painted at Maastricht last week. Last report was the aircraft had gone to Budapest !. You have used the trading name Zoom Uk, under what authority??? There are countless more articles from the press refering to our proper name not to mention our own website. Please correct this or I will do it for you. Our company calls us Zoom Airlines Ltd. Our colours will be the same as Zoom Airlines Inc.
- I agree as I cant find any citable reference other than the press reports I have moved the article.MilborneOne 20:31, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
EC-HKS
[edit]Just a note - It is understood the first aircraft will registered as G-UKZM when transfered to the UK Aircraft Register.MilborneOne 20:40, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
In response
[edit]Yes that is correct, however the CAA register currently has not updated Zoom Ltd's entry yet. Standby for updates in the coming weeks. 88.241.41.163 21:04, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
