Splitting the rules list
I split the Rules list into three sections: Rules that appeared in the film, Rules that appeared in promotional items, and Rules that were sourced from elsewhere (e.g. cast interviews mentioning rules that did not make the cut). Although I was soon reverted with the most minimal explanation possible, I happen to think it's a good idea to provide some context to these rules. Would anybody object to my reverting it back?--122.109.133.250 (talk) 15:04, 26 January 2010 (UTC)
- I would. Blogspot is not a source, and Woody Harrelson making a joke about "double knot your shoes" does not count as a rule. The list of rules is kept narrow for a reason. Darrenhusted (talk) 17:32, 26 January 2010 (UTC)
Intro of article
In the head part of the article it's written that all characters are following the "Rules", that's not exact, only Columbus is following (as writing) the rules. Maybe other characters are guided by Columbus rules but are not following them directly. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.16.222.134 (talk) 18:02, 21 January 2010 (UTC)
- Together they take an extended road trip in an attempt to find a sanctuary free from zombies, following a set of "rules" designed to keep them alive where others have failed, killing zombies in a variety of creative ways while trying to "enjoy the little things" in a ruined world.
- I see your point but in that sentence I take the separate clauses as each describing the two girls, columbus, and talhassee, not necessarily them applying to the group as a whole. The sentence just gives a very very broad forty word plot overview, keeping with the idea of the intro summarizing the article. You could have just as easily pointed out that Talahassee is the only one trying to kill zombies in a creative way, the others are just killing them out of necessity. -- Horkana (talk) 22:06, 23 January 2010 (UTC)
- Changed it to use more pedantically accurate grammar. Try rephrasing before deleting. -- Horkana (talk) 04:17, 6 April 2010 (UTC)
Movie Plot Stolen from the Film "Carriers"
Has anyone else noticed the movie plot was very close to the movie "Carriers". Viral post-apocalyptic - Yes List of rules - Yes 2 guys and 2 girls in the car - Yes Two brothers heading west to a place from their childhood - Yes (Two sisters) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.229.249.158 (talk) 07:11, 7 February 2010 (UTC)
- Although it has been moved to the archives someone else thought it was based on a video game. I think this is a case of the story being generic enough (some claim there are only seven stories) that many people will see similarities to other works but it is the slightly different comedic style that made this film different that is important. -- Horkana (talk) 06:08, 2 March 2010 (UTC)
Spelling of Wichita's name: Krista
300px
Although it may not be the clearest picture (I used a low-res camera to take a picture off of my TV), but, according to the official subtitles, Krista is spelled with an "i". If you want to claim that the quality is bad, you can see that it is a straight line and it is certainly not Krysta. I have added this to the article. --ҚЯĀŽΨÇÉV13 20:19, 6 March 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks, good to see the old discussion resolved. I've tried to cleanup the source comment and format it inside a reference as a source which hopefully will discourage people from deleting it.
- I want to reaffirm my point that the name should only be mentioned once in the article and not repeated in the cast list, anymore than we would write Kaiser Soze in the cast list of The Usual Suspects article, even though it isn't anywhere near the same level of importance. -- Horkana (talk) 18:32, 8 March 2010 (UTC)
the rules
i added to the "the rules" section using "http://www.horror-movies.ca/horror_16631.html" as a source as it had a few more that weren't listed yet. not certain how to cite properly in wikipedia do if someone wants to do that or tell me how it would be much appreciated. --Catharsis of Valefor (talk) 05:13, 26 April 2010 (UTC)
virus
Can everyone leave the virus the way I have it. It's explained in the movie and I'm telling the truth. Thanks —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.5.151.148 (talk) 01:34, 17 August 2010 (UTC)
- We don't need to quote the film. It's clearer if we use our own words. Geoff B (talk) 23:26, 20 August 2010 (UTC)
- And, in fact, WP:FILMPLOT recommends against quoting the film in plot summaries, though I'm sure there are exceptions where it would be good to WP:IGNORE that guideline. I don't see how this is one of them. The content is much more encyclopedic this way. Millahnna (mouse)talk 00:14, 21 August 2010 (UTC)
- I concur with Geoff and Millahnna. The passage without the quotations is sufficient as an opener. Erik (talk | contribs) 00:26, 21 August 2010 (UTC)
Plot rewrite?
- ...the girls attempt once more to steal their truck until Columbus proposes a truce and suggests they travel together. --this simply didn't happen in the movie
- Columbus disagrees at first, but when Wichita informs him that Columbus, Ohio has been destroyed, he decides to stay with the group. --this isn't really how it happened
- Columbus mistakenly shoots and kills him... --there was no mistake here
All of the quoted text in this section would be better as italic text.
The word decides is a bit overused in the second paragraph of the section.
This section could use a rewrite. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.64.230.201 (talk) 20:23, 29 July 2010 (UTC)
- Well, Murray sure made a mistake. Lots42 (talk) 10:12, 24 August 2010 (UTC)

Request edit
{{Request edit}} Large parts of Zombieland were actually filmed in England.
Opening scene to Zombieland appears to be in Washington DC,but there is a big error......
0:15 to 0:17 left hand side of the screen you can clearly see English road signs and a roundabout! lol
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YOkaGJcZRLc
So shouldnt it be added?
- You need to find a better source than that, there's probably a more likely explanation than them filming large parts of the film in the uk and keeping it a secret--Jac16888 Talk 02:10, 25 June 2011 (UTC)
