Dear all (for the ones who are interested in this topic),
I am the main writer of the above topic. I started this project ('Zizhu chuangxin' - a Chinese term roughly can be translated into self-determined innovation or in a wider sense, argue as part of the emerging 'Indigenous Innovation' concept from evolutionary economics perspective). The term 'Zizhu chungxin' was used as part of China national innovation policy from 2006 onwards (see references at the end of the article, especially Hu, President of China's speech). I will argue this emergent concept is and will be one of the most important articles in the study of Why, What and How China can further develop after 30 years of economic developments after the Open Door Policy in late 1970s, from export-led economic developments transform into technological-led and if successful, an indigenous-led knowledge-based economy in 21st century (the potential Renaissance of China). As China is the 2nd largest economy in the world, this article play a meaningful role in Wikipedia and to the world in a broader sense.
With my limited knowledge, I started writing this article from 2011 - during my full time PhD study on innovation policy and management at the University of Manchester, United Kingdom. At that point in time, very few people in the world (outside China) really took notice of such a term nor the important impact of such a change. Gradually, it is realised that the ever-changing and complex China economic developments would not be able to explain solely using traditional neo-classical economics' concepts.
