Merge tag
[edit]- No - do not merge with commercial color article. Valid mineral article - don't mess it up. Vsmith 12:27, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose - Quuxplusone writes (Zinnwaldite (color), edit summary, 14Feb07) "should merge into Zinnwaldite, since they're related and both hopeless stubs". I disagree.
- Related they are, yes, and in two ways. First: the mineral happens to be Zinnwaldite in colour. Second: the colour is named after the mineral. This second relationhip is a rather arbitary: we could have decided to call the colour puge. As for the first relationship, would you expect to find information about a colour in an encyclopædia under the name of a thing which has that colour?
- The colour and the mineral are two quite different things. They may be hopeless stubs but this seems to be a hopeless solution. Better live with stubs than live with articles about a number of vaguely related topics. Jimp 16:31, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
- It's been five weeks without any further support for the merger. I'm removing the merge tag. Jimp 02:51, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
