According to article, math rock is rooted in progressive-rock and twentieth-century minimalist composition.

Naming conventions
[edit]Are we using the Japanese format (Mitsuru Tabata, Kishino Kazuyuki...) or Western style? Don't care which one, but it needs to be consistent. E. Swann (talk) 03:41, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
- Good question. I guess we should use the local, Western style, since this is an English language version of an encyclopedia that is also available in other languages and with other regional conventions.
