Consultation regarding Zdzisław Żygulski (senior) and Zdzisław Żygulski (junior) {originally posted at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Poland}
[edit]Since the Zdzisław Żygulski disambiguation page lists both Zdzisław Żygulski (senior) and Zdzisław Żygulski (junior), I thought that it would be more appropriate to disambiguate them by their field of study and moved Zdzisław Żygulski (senior) to Zdzisław Żygulski (literary historian), but before moving Zdzisław Żygulski (junior) to Zdzisław Żygulski (art historian), decided to consult here.
Both articles were created on March 17, 2007 by Polish Wikipedian User:Visor, whose last English Wikipedia edit was on May 5. 2013. On Polish Wikipedia, the entry for Zdzisław Żygulski (junior) was created the following month, but the entry for his father was not created until November 2013. The main title headers of the Polish Wikipedia entries carry the same "(senior)" / "(junior)" parenthetical qualifiers per English Wikipedia.
The WIEM Encyklopedia entries which serve as references in the English Wikipedia articles appear to be influenced in their form by the Wikipedia entries, possibly up to and including the main headers. However, the Polish Wikipedia entries have used Polish scholarly articles as references and some of those also use the forms ""senior" and "junior".
Before moving Zdzisław Żygulski (literary historian) back to Zdzisław Żygulski (senior), however, I would like to solicit views as to whether the forms Zdzisław Żygulski senior and Zdzisław Żygulski junior would be preferable. —Roman Spinner (talk)(contribs) 00:50, 2 March 2018 (UTC)
