When I began this article, putting "Australian wrestler" in the title was necessary to disambiguate with the luchador also named Delta. Now that we have officially changed the article name to "Zaria", keeping "Australian" in the title seems redundant as there is no other Zaria to differentiate. Should we change the title to "Zaria (wrestler)"? Cghensi (talk) 04:55, 24 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Looks like the move was by a less-experienced editor who assumed the right way to handle it was to replace "Delta" with "Zaria" regardless of unnecessary disambiguation. Personally I think the move to a "Zaria" title at all is premature under WP:COMMONNAME, the new name was just announced and she is presumably still best known as Delta at present. Once Zaria is her best-known name, I agree the best title would be "Zaria (wrestler)". — stickguy (:^›)— || talk || 13:11, 25 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I moved it to the undisambiguated title before noticing these messages. I'm here because her name was aded to the article about her home city of Townsville, which is on my watchlist. Graham87 (talk) 14:46, 26 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
May I suggest using her profile on PWDownunder.com? I know it is listed as an "Unproven Source", but the reason they show seems to be just not being as notable as other sources. As an independent wrestler on the Australian scene myself, I can vouch for a lot of their reliability.Cghensi (talk) 05:00, 1 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You have a conflict of interest so your view unfortunately is not relevant. Notability is not just about reliability also - it is also about credibility. The staff are not known quantities in general. That of course doesn't make them unreliable, but we need more to establish their credentials so a consensus can be reached on whether or not it can be considered reliable. I've had the exact same thought in the past as there is this article which mentions her real name (which, for the record, is not Delta Brady). This article also requires a subscription (though you can see the real name in the Google preview of the article) Cghensi (talk) 00:04, 2 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You sure about it? Then cite it. I will remove Delta Brady from the lead section. Fightful is a reliable PW source but for BLP stuff, we need something better; e.g. a confirmation from WWE or a source like The Advertiser. --Mann Mann (talk) 03:23, 2 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I wasn't sure on whether or not articles that required a subscription were acceptable as references until I looked it up just before. (Funny thing is, I've known her real name for a looooong time. I'm an Australian indie wrestler myself, and while I never got to meet her, a fair few of my friends have worked with her so she's always popping up as a friend suggestion on Facebook.) Facebook is to be avoided unless it's an exception under WP:SELFPUB if I recall correctly. Better to use independent sources of course if available and the Adelaide Addy has been pretty good in this regard. Addicted4517 (talk) 04:34, 3 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
