[edit]Since the accident, the operation of the turnout has been altered so that the points will not operate until say 60 seconds have elapsed, and this gives the opposing train a chance to stop at the red point indicator.
above in from article, please dont say either it is or it isnt. i altered sentence to remove say but the correct timing information needs to be used. Gnangarra 10:18, 14 May 2006 (UTC)
- The recommendations appear to be at this PDF. Section 1.12.2 has both 2-3 minutes and 90-120 seconds. I didn't find the actual new rules. --Scott Davis Talk 14:14, 14 May 2006 (UTC)
