Premier ordinal
[edit]@Lefcentreright Wouldn't he be the 6th Premier? --YaguraStation (talk) 19:10, 27 May 2019 (UTC)
- @YaguraStation: Not really. Former Premier Hazel Jenkins had a stroke in 2012. The ANC did not compel Jenkins to abdicate the post, Jenkins temporarily stepped down and they just appointed Cjiekella to serve the rest of Hazel Jenkins's term in an acting capacity, while Jenkins rested in effort to restore her health (She is still quite "frail" to this very day). Cjiekella was strictly acting premier because the legislature never confirmed her to the post. 26 February 2012 was the last official day of Jenkin's term, though she had the stroke on 18 February 2012. The Executive Council appointed Cjiekella (not the legislature). Jenkins did resign in 2013, alongside Cjiekella, because ANC selected Lucas to the post. You can read: here and here.
