states that a "notable" player is/are, "Players who have played in, managers who have managed in, and referees who have officiated any FIFA sanctioned senior international match (including the Olympics) are notable.." It does not say that their national team must be a FIFA member. Additionally, the matches are qualifiers for a tournament sanctioned by a confederation under FIFA and will serve as qualifiers for multiple sanctioned tournament including the Gold Cup and Copa America. I realize that the confed cup and World Cup are the only truly sanctioned tournaments but this is a grey area in my mind. IF we do not accept players for national teams who are members of a regional confederation but not FIFA, there will be several nations in multiple confederations that will likely never have a player meet notability requirements. --Gri3720 (talk) 20:43, 6 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
