Hi folks! I've begun work on tandem article improvements of this article with Lily Jan as part of the Women in Red and Women in Green projects. As I have mentioned on WiR, I'd be appreciative for feedback and assistance from any wikipedian on the personal life sections and how to best establish connection between this article and that of her spouse without detracting from either scientist's independent notability. All of the personal life sections and details I (and others before me) have included in these articles are based on autobiographies the Jans have provided to scientific societies and publicly. Although we usually try not to overemphasize personal life sections this is a unique case. As addressed in their autobiographies and other sources, their personal and scientific lives are interwoven and foundational to their co-discoveries. They have also been awarded many awards jointly. thanks! Nanobright (talk) 06:39, 17 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
