Protection of this article
[edit]I have protected this page because of the ongoing edit war. Geg and 63.246.178.172, you have both violated the three-revert rule. Please discuss here any changes that you would like to make to the article. When you reach an agreement I will unprotect it. Mushroom 20:15, 23 December 2005 (UTC)
- Heh, saw this coming. Anyway, my reason for changing it has already been explained in the history comments. It makes more sense to lump them all together rather than try to separate them. If we have a separate section for Duel Monsters, then we'd have to title the first section "Human Characters" or something like that, and we couldn't do that because Pharaoh's there and Pharaoh's a cat. So then there'd be a third list for animal characters with only one in it. So it makes more sense to have them all together rather than try to separate them into catagories. Geg 15:27, 24 December 2005 (UTC)
Ok I agree with a third section for the cat Pharaoh :)
- But that's just the problem. Having a third section just for Pharaoh doesn't make sense/would look wrong. There'd be human characters, then a long list of names, then Duel Monster characters, then a list of names, then animal characters, and Pharaoh. Geg 18:52, 25 December 2005 (UTC)
So what Pharaoh's a cat... he holds the soul of Amnael.
- But he's not a human character. We'd have to think of a catagory name that fits Pharaoh and all the other human characters together. Geg 01:28, 30 December 2005 (UTC)
- All right, forget it, this is just taking too long. We'll keep the different sections and I'll eventually think of something to contain all the other characters in. edit: Well, Mushroom won't be back until January 3, so the page will have to stay protected until then. Geg 15:27, 31 December 2005 (UTC)
I'm just curious about something. Since Pharoah's a cat, he would have to be voiced by, well, a cat. Right? Or maybe he's voiced by Wayne Grayson (because all the Pokemon's voices are provided by the 4Kids actors). If you tell me which one is right, I'll note that in this article. 71.111.215.224 15:33, 1 April 2006 (UTC)
Deletion
[edit]It is not redundant. Yu-Gi-Oh! GX is a spinoff, therefore has its own sections. Character pages, etc. already exist on Wikipedia, and plot summaries detailing each minor character are written based on what has occured throughout the series. Links to appropriate pgs in regards to trivia are made, and do not have to be confirmed by outside sources because such references are made within the episodes themselves (such as Kabukid announcing Shizuka Gozen's name in full, despite her card not having that proper title). Redundancy does not make any sense at all, as the minor character's pg for the regular Yu-Gi-Oh! series contains no indications whatsoever of the characters appearing in GX; there is no connection between the character groups at all. Flagging this article for deletion is highly unnecesary when every other pg follows the same format. 14 July 2006. -Benten
Agreed. YU-gi-oh! does not equal Yu-gi-Oh!GX. I see no reason to delete this page. There is precedent as well. Plenty of other wikipedia pages about t.v. shows have special pages on minor characters, look at Minor secondary characters of Avatar: The Last Airbender.Stupidhumanzz 01:42, 15 July 2006 (UTC)
Napoleon and Martin's relationship?
[edit]After watching 111 and 112, it's obvious that there's some kind of relationship between Napoleon and Martin (Napoleon's on a first name basis with the kid at the very least). Thing is, there isn't much telling exactly what that relationship is yet. So, should it be added now or after we know the specifics of what their relationship is? Acording to Janime they are father and son. Compoundheart 04:34, 11 April 2007 (UTC)
Images
[edit]I think this page is pushing things way too far on the inclusion of fair use images. C'mon, people, those are copyrighted. There is no need, for all these minor characters, to illustrate every one. Mangojuicetalk 04:41, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
Characters missing
[edit]Taiyou Torimaki and Raizou Monotari, Manjoume/Chazz's friends from the first few episodes aren't here. They aren't refered to by name in the dub, but those are their names in YuGiOh GX Spirit Caller. Compoundheart 04:41, 11 April 2007 (UTC)
They aren't listed because they aren't important. Drake Clawfang 05:52, 11 April 2007 (UTC)
They have a larger part than some of the listed characters. Compoundheart 10:04, 11 April 2007 (UTC)
Not really, they never duel and only appear in one or two episodes. I believe once Chazz heads to north academy, they're never around anymore. Drake Clawfang 12:21, 11 April 2007 (UTC)
Yes, but they're still characters. Isn't that what the minor characters section is for? Compoundheart 20:43, 11 April 2007 (UTC)
Spirit/Monsters missing.
[edit]Unless I've gone senile, or there's a new article for them that I missed, all the monsters and Duel Spirits are missing. This wouldn't be a big problem, but with more of them showing up in Season 3, I would think it's obvious that such an entry is needed, isn't it? Viewtiful Rekk 20:06, 23 April 2007 (UTC)
They are there. Drake Clawfang 20:32, 23 April 2007 (UTC)
I....don't see them. COuld you provide a link, maybe? 67.167.181.126 12:20, 25 April 2007 (UTC)
Um, they are not exactly hidden, they are right there in the article Drake Clawfang 16:21, 25 April 2007 (UTC)
