The purpose of the accompanying Dab pg "Yr" is to get users to the articles they want in either of two situations where they've evoked "Yr" (perhaps via one of the two handfuls of Rdrs to it):

WP or another wiki has a wiki-lk for the title of the Dab or one of the Rdrs, and they've clicked it, or
they've thoughtfully typed a few keystrokes that get them to the Dab page.

(I specify "thoughtfully" mainly bcz everyone sometimes types in the first thing that pops into their head, even tho it would be dumb luck if it did what they intended.)

That purpose does not include informing anyone who is wondering either

whether yr is acceptable as an abbr for your (or for year), or
what the author of what they are reading could have meant in writing "yr" or "yr."

The first of those purposes is better served by dictionaries and style guides, and the second by either those or (since failure to think of year and your as possibilities to evaluate in light of their context indicates a deficit in fundamental English vocabulary) elementary courses in English as a foreign language. More to the point, trying to serve either of them in an encyclopedia interferes with its functioning as an encyclopedia -- at the very least, it increases the amount of time a user looking for a "yr" that we don't yet cover must spend before getting to the bottom of the page and getting on with their life.
