Genre

[edit]

I think I'll toss this up here before an edit war starts. I'm not sure where this album's currently listed genres are coming from, but they are far from correct. Citations are needed in some regard, but there's nothing really listed outside of the obvious and various comments the band has made over time through shows, Facebook, etc. (Hard-to-cite sources.) All I can vouch for is Experimental rock, Art rock, Christian rock, and Ambient pop. There's nothing that will claim post-grunge anywhere. I was the one who originally added that, based on the band's overall genres before the album's release. The band could fit that genre by a stretch at the beginning of their career, but that was close to eight years ago, and their music has fundamentally changed with each album release. If no one can support a different listing, I'm just going to change it. —Maktesh (talk) 01:31, 17 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Shall we reference you for the genres? You're right, we need some references for them. --Walter Görlitz (talk) 01:51, 17 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I'll see if I can dig something up, but I'm not sure how something would actually be directly listed as there's no label. A clear listen to the album will tell you that it's not post-grunge. I'm going to remove that genre, and if a source can be added, then it will be replaced. I put it there in the first place, and probably shouldn't have. —Maktesh (talk) 05:39, 17 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
