Stud
[edit]I think it likely that "Lauderdale" died young. Unlike some other early classic winners who failed to leave any progeny, he was obviously an exceptional racehorse, and it seems hard to believe that he would not have found a place at stud if he had lived. Tigerboy1966 19:15, 5 April 2013 (UTC)
A horse by any other name...
[edit]This is kind of strange but I think it's the same horse. Mr. Hamilton's Young Traveller by King Fergus (6yo) shows back up in July 1794 to finish last in a race at Preston [1]. Maybe he was re-bought by Hamilton and re-renamed? Froggerlaura ribbit 16:52, 6 April 2013 (UTC)
- At Warwick in September 1793 was fourth for His Majesty's Plate, was also called Y Traveller (Mr. Richardson's) [2] and to confuse matters Richardson also had a 6yo horse named Traveller Froggerlaura ribbit 17:04, 6 April 2013 (UTC)
