Harry

[edit]

Er... watched this last night and checked to see what there was about it. The Harry thing? Um... No. You may as well say Harry bears a resemblance to Star Wars (with the innocent hero and two bickering sidekicks who fall in love) or The Secret Garden (with the Dickon/Mary/Colin trio) or The Goonies, or A Separate Peace, or nearly anything. The only thing that YSH has that these don't in common with Mr. P is that one of the actors looks similar. Miss w 20:33, 19 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the mention of the books entirely, and actually think that entire paragraph should be stricken, as well as the link to "harryholmes" at blogspot--this appears to be nothing but a pet theory of one person. It needs a more reliable source. "Recent viewers" are not a source--which recent viewers? In what forum? If there's more to this than the harryholmes report, please cite it! Could we discuss this here, please? Miss w 19:55, 20 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Article length

[edit]

This article is just far too long, and too great of detail, with too many quotes. On one hand, this is better than all the many movies with very little said about them, but this also goes too far the other way. I will start trimming soon unless someone else does. [edit]

The concept of 'memorable quotes' -has- been discussed already. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Quotes#When_not_to_use_quotations. And I see no reason for 'reunions'. It's not relevant to the movie at all in any way. Lots42 (talk) 02:51, 5 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Great, totally my mistake, thanks for the clarification Damiantgordon (talk) 22:00, 5 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Oxford??

[edit]

Although the exterior of the film's "Brompton School" is an Oxford location, I don't recall anything in the script that actually states this film is set in Oxford.--WickerGuy (talk) 15:54, 26 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
