Comment removed from article - settle the founding date here

I removed "Y.P.C.U. was already established by 1896 as I have a vintage ribbon with pin saying Y.P.C.U. Convention (then logo of C and U intertwined) Omaha 1896". This should be worked out on the talk page, instead of posting contradictory claims in the article. Chris the speller (talk) 21:35, 11 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Founding date

I have found an article from WATERTOWN TIMES, SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 18.. 1893:

Miss Marion Libby, daughter of Rev. Mr. Libby, gave an address on "Hints and Helps In Junior Endeavor Work" at the meeting of the Y. P. C. U. at Fort Plain, N. Y., Wednesday afternoon.
