Poster in malls

I've seen the poster in numerous malls around my area and friends have reported seeing it in malls in their area. It seems that the MPAA has an advertiseing campaign with the same design put on webpages. I have trouble with english, or I would add a section myself. I'll take a picture next time i'm at the mall.

Removal of "Sites Shut Down Section"

I'm removing this section since it has really nothing to do with the advertising campaign. This type of information should be including in an article(or subsection of the MPAA article) regarding the MPAA's legal action against P2P sites/programs/users/etc

Ridiculous

Agreed, I rarely ever support "piracy" but I know several people who do download videogames and movies on myspace. What strikes me is most of them will buy something if they really like it, especially if the retail version can offer something the pirated version can't. The best way to counter piracy of DvD movies is to improve the quality of entertainment, offer bonuses that can't be downloaded, and appeal to the consumer's love of the film and desire to see more films like that. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.58.85.114 (talk) 00:58, 11 April 2009 (UTC)

How could they 'counter piracy of dvd movies' by improving the quality of entertainment, or offering bonuses that can't be downloaded? If they release a better quality version, then that version would just be pirated and made available for download also. Dvd producers add bonus features to the dvds that have more than what was shown in theaters, but those bonus features are also pirated and offered for free downloads by pirates. Music industry association?

Unless somebody adds some information concerning the music industry to the article, I think the category of "Music industry associations" should be removed. All the article mentions is the movie industry. At that, this does not appear to be any industry association, but rather a multi-association marketing campaign against movie piracy. --Willscrlt 01:15, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

Seriously these people just want to start trouble, the fact is that as pointed out in the documentary "steal this film" the video recorder was meant to be a big issue, but as it turned out it wasn't... most people weren't going to buy there products anyway... exactly like torrents, because belive it or not around about 96.5 percent of torrent users were not going to buy the product in the first place, so how is that loosing the industry big money. the fact is its not!

Yeah, they think they can just go after people and piracy will just stop. Sure, maybe they'll do little things, like iTunes or whatever, but they never give anyone total freedom with the music they buy there. You have to pay to burn a cd of it, or put it in something, or whatever. Oh, and people get on to you for not signing your comments.
