Second highest selling single????
[edit]'Sweet Child', 'Jungle' and 'Paradise' were all top 10, whereas this was only... top 30 or somethin.... what is the argument for this one selling more than Jungle or Paradise? cos I cant figure it out - unless it stayed at fx #55 for a straight ten years - which I find somewhat unlikely
?
[edit]i could have sworn that john connor's friend wore an L.A. GUNS shirt... Gringo300 23:25, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
if You Could Be Mine was #33 or somethin in the US, and Sweet Child O' Mine was 1, Patience 4, November Rain 3, Paradise 5, etc, HOW CAN IT BE THEIR SECOND GREATEST SINGLE (could the writer have misunderstood, that it is their next biggest in the UK, where only Knocking On Heavens Door defeats it?)
- Those songs' chart positions were only compared to other singles released from other artists at the time. plus, over time the songs would continue to sell. compared to other gnr songs, it could be the second highest selling single24.154.199.103 02:21, 29 March 2007 (UTC)

Source
[edit]Is there a source for the song being about izzy's relationship and not one of Axl's? 74.73.74.241 19:22, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
Guitars
[edit]I think someone should edit the article to more accurately reflect the guitar choices Slash made when performing this song live. He did indeed use a red BC Rich Mockingbird but there is footage of him using various Les Pauls to play this song. Notably the footage from the infamous St. Louis show. To the best of my knowledge, Slash started using the Mockingbird a little later on in the tour for this song.129.32.108.57 (talk) 21:32, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
- I also watched the video the other day and I could have sworn he was using a gold Les Paul. Pw33n (talk) 02:37, 10 December 2008 (UTC)
Wait... Hold on...
[edit]Usually, when a wiki artical on a song says "writers: bandname" it kind says that whoever was in the band at the time co-wrote the song. Later, in the artical, it says that it was writted by AFD's release (they had a different lineup at the time). Ok, not only that, but I really doubt Rose/Slash/Stradlin/McKagan/Adler wrote the song, nor Rose/Slash/Stradlin/McKagan/Sorum/Reed. Does anyone have liner notes? —Preceding unsigned comment added by MarthsBullet (talk • contribs) 01:12, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
- Stradlin/Rose, as per the UYI:II article. Thedarxide (talk) 07:50, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
Izzy Absent
[edit]The article correctly states that Izzy was absent from the end of the video. Why was he absent? --Robinson weijman (talk) 19:15, 17 March 2010 (UTC)
- He was pulling away from the band at that point. IIRC, he was gone before the Illusion albums were released (or right around that time).Rja13ww33 (talk) 15:48, 6 March 2020 (UTC)
John Connor's Friend's T-Shirt
[edit]The article originally stated that it was a GNR shirt, this is incorrect.. it's a LA Guns shirt: http://www.tshirtsonscreen.com/terminator-2-l-a-guns/ .. the band eventually changed their name to Guns N Roses though. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.149.67.190 (talk) 23:23, 22 December 2014 (UTC)
