Did he really "lay the foundation for 2D spectroscopy" ?
[edit]I'm removing this part if there's no reference, so far it's only a reference to his own paper!129.97.124.62 (talk) 02:31, 26 August 2019 (UTC)
Formulated in the right way, this is correct. In the 1992 paper he and Shaul Mukamel to my knowledge proposed two-dimensional optical spectroscopes. 2D Raman spectroscopy took off quickly after and other techniques quickly followed. The 1992 paper has more then 600 citations. The 1992 paper is for example also cited in the first experimental demonstration of 2D Electronic Spectroscopy by Jonas in 1998 (https://doi.org/10.1016/S0009-2614(98)01140-3). This is of course also mentioned in recent reviews as this 2019 review by Minhaeng Cho (https://doi.org/10.1063/1.5083966) which focus on the infrared 2D techniques. (2D NMR spectroscopy was developed earlier, but is not an optical technique.) BountyTJ (talk) 05:47, 3 April 2020 (UTC)
Takanimura himself edited it? The IP address is from Kyoto University, right after he was given warnings about having his account removed for COI edits and 3RR on HEOM page
