"Only other"?
[edit]- The only other church in the world to have its own police force is St Peter's in Rome (The Swiss Guards).
The Washington National Cathedral has one too. [1] 208.127.133.116 (talk) 17:54, 31 October 2008 (UTC)

[edit]The out of context bit that was removed by Mauls[2] appears to have come from [3]. —Sladen (talk) 19:32, 31 December 2008 (UTC)
Is this article misleading re Police status?
[edit]Information directly from York Minster appears to contradict a number of bits of this article. The correspondence can be found at [1].
The correspondence states: "'York Minster Police' is simply the name we use for York Minster’s in-house security team – no part of this organisation is a police force." Does the article need to be amended? Bowchaser (talk) 13:16, 25 April 2018 (UTC)
- In addition to the sources cited in the article an article in the Daily Telegraph today confirmed that they have some form of policing powers[2]. Given the reports I think it's safe to say they are at least Accredited Persons, and quite possibly fully warranted Police Officers - but yes further investigation on the subject is needed IMHO.
