Why is the title of the article "Gabrielle"
[edit]Why is the title of the article "Gabrielle" (one of her middle names), when her first name is Yolande and throughout the article she is refered to as Yolande rather than Gabrielle. I think the title should be "Yolande de Polastron, comtesse de Polignac". Furthermore, I don't know wether comtesse is correct as the French article refers to her as Duchesse de Polignac? What do you think? Sotakeit 13:44, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
I agree. In France she is always referred to as Yolande, and as duchesse. If no-one objects, I propose to make both changes in a week or so....
Sorry, forgot to sign my remarks above. RSekulovich 00:05, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
Yolande de Polastron, duchesse de Polignac is what the title should be.
- As Sotakeit and RSekulovich pointed out, the first name she is known under is Yolande, NOT Gabrielle. Changing name of article & will change it in article as necessary, and as soon as time available.
Fair use rationale for Image:Charlotte and polignac.jpg
[edit]Image:Charlotte and polignac.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Where was she born?
[edit]In the information box under her portrait, it says she was born in Switzerland, but in the article under "Biography" it states she was born in Paris, France. Which is it? 69.42.41.6 (talk) 00:41, 3 December 2011 (UTC)HistoryLunatic
A Capital Offence?
[edit]The Wikipedia:Manual of Style#Titles of people states that contributors should capitalize titles (such as "Queen"): When a title is used to refer to a specific and obvious person as a substitute for their name, e.g., the Queen, not the queen, referring to Elizabeth II. On that basis, references throughout this article to Marie Antoinette as "the Queen" should be capitalized. I can't see why somebody keeps changing them.
