Biased Title
[edit]I’m a lay contributor and not familiar with your policies. Nevertheless, is the use of the adjective "show" really necessary here? I have never heard it used to describe this historical event, and I am not sure what aspect of the article’s contents, other than the mere fact that this was a CPUSA event (and therefore evil), substantiates its use. 199.111.225.112 (talk) 18:12, 3 October 2022 (UTC)
Biased Section Title
[edit]I am not sure why the word trial is in quotes 199.111.225.112 (talk) 18:14, 3 October 2022 (UTC)
Objectivity and Formatting
[edit]This article could certainly use some work - I'm thinking of tackling it if that is okay. The section on the trial is framed in an unusual way. It also is clearly written with a biased slant, with gems in the actual article such as: "This book is one of the few CP “memoirs” by a leading black communist and is an invaluable contribution that should be read by all comrades." It also says the trial spurred mass support for the CP from black workers and "peasants" (??), but cites nothing to prove this. Not to mention phrases like "bourgeois press" thrown in there. These are blatant violations of objectivity standards and should be rewritten. Citations aren't formatted properly either and secondary sources could use some updating too. Will try and do this when I can. Viralworld (talk) 20:38, 4 May 2023 (UTC)
