COI

[edit]

The fact that the user who largely wrote this article also uploaded a picture of Sarig which they say they took suggests that the author of the article has some connection with the subject. I am adding a COI tag and will be looking to see if there enough secondary sources to support a biography. nableezy - 07:43, 8 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Um, User:Free1Soul, a major contributor to this article admitted to knowing the subject. On what basis are you removing the COI tag? nableezy - 16:48, 16 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
User:Nableezy, you have a COI on this article, please stop disruption here, the recent AfD was disruptive. Free1Soul (talk) 16:53, 16 October 2021 (UTC) sock[reply]
I very much do not. Again, I ask you what is the basis for you removing a tag when the creator of the article admits to knowing the subject? nableezy - 16:57, 16 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Here, Ill help you. WP:COI: Conflict of interest (COI) editing involves contributing to Wikipedia about yourself, family, friends, clients, employers, or your financial and other relationships. Any external relationship can trigger a conflict of interest. There is an admitted external relationship between the creator and major contributor of the article. Our readers deserve to know that. I have no external relationship with the subject, and saying I do without evidence is very much a personal attack. nableezy - 17:00, 16 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
You made post on subject. The article creator last edited this article like a decade ago and the article has almost doubled in size since then - so whatever COI they had (not obvious) is not relevant anymore. The article has moved on. Free1Soul (talk) 17:27, 16 October 2021 (UTC) sock[reply]
Saying on a website that the editor who created this appears to know the subject does not make a COI. That editor remains responsible for over half the article, and has since admitted to knowing the subject. Which is a potential COI. nableezy - 00:31, 17 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to 2 external links on Yoav Sarig. Please take a moment to review my edit. You may add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it, if I keep adding bad data, but formatting bugs should be reported instead. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether, but should be used as a last resort. I made the following changes:

When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true or failed to let others know (documentation at {{Sourcecheck}}).
