I object to the proposed deletion of this article. I believe the proposed deletion is a result of a misunderstanding. When initially creating this article, i forgot to add Wikipedia:Authority control. As can be seen now that authority control has been added, Chernenko is a widely cited scholar in his field.[1] The proposer claimed to have failed to find any citations from Chernenko on Google Scholar. I believe this is because Yevhen Chernenko is the transliteration of the Ukrainian spelling of his name. In the English-language scholarship, he is generally referred to by his through the Russian transliteration (Yevgeny Chernenko) or by his initials (E. V. Chernenko).
