Questions

[edit]

To whomever runs that bot that came through here, this is definately an orthodox yeshiva. A litvak one to be specific.

I'm condused. The people who the page says are the leaders of the yeshiveh dont make sense. R' Yisroel Meir Kagan ZT"L, and R' Yitzchok Wassereman ZT"L are both niftar. They are leaders of the dor before the shoah. Have a gut yuntiff. --Shaul avrom 23:14, 12 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hi Shaul avrom: The rabbis you mention are different to their two namesakes in Europe. They are legit and it's just one of those things that this yeshiva's leaders have famous names. How many "Menachem Mendels" are there by now? IZAK
  • The name of Rabbi Kagan is indeed, the exact same name of the Chofetz Chaim (R' Yisroel Meir Hakohen Kagan), who was niftar in the early nineteen thirties. The Rosh Yeshiva of Toras Chaim is not related to the Chofetz Chaim, zt"l. Rav Elchonon Bunim Wasserman, Hy"d, was a close talmid of the Chofetz Chaim who was murdered by the Nazis in the Ninth Fort outside the Kovno Getto in 1942 (I believe). The current Rosh Yeshiva, Rav Yitzchok Wasserman, is not related to Rav Elchonon Bunim Wasserman. Hope that clarifies things. Just a thought

If this page is about two institutions, shouldn't there be two pages? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.193.148.18 (talk) 05:29, 29 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
