Importance
[edit]I changed the importance rating to mid. Yellowknife is a regional airport with service only to Edmonton, Calgary, and a couple other places. The description for high was a large airport. DB (talk) 16:58, 19 November 2006 (UTC)
- I disagree as I think this is one of the airports that requires an exeption from the usual criteria. It's part of the National Airports System (Canada). CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 13:08, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
- Well I guess the issue is whether the importance scale should be considered on a national or worldwide basis. Of course, YZF isn't too important in the world, although as you said, it's significant in Canada. DB (talk) 18:01, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
Accidents and incidents
[edit]- On 5 March 2012 Buffalo flight 1105, Lockheed Electra C-FBAQ landed with the front right landing gear jammed in the up position. There were no injuries. It was documented in Ice Pilots NWT season 4 episode 6 "Crash Landing".[1][2][3]
This was excised as non-notable? But it received news coverage and its own TV episode, so seems to have sufficient coverage. -- 70.24.247.127 (talk) 06:57, 14 December 2012 (UTC)
