– No clear primary topic for Yard(s) by views[[1]] or long-term significance (both the unit and land meaning are level 5 vital articles). The unit gets 6,108 views but Yard (sailing) gets 2,439, Yard (land) gets 1,541, Yard (Portland, Oregon) gets 40, YARD (software) gets 32 and Yard, Texas gets 21. PTMs such as Scotland Yard gets 34,549, Yardie gets 4,685, Wrecking yard gets 2,363 and 1000000000 (number) gets 2,240. Although the main Google search shows slightly more results for this topic, Images shows most results for the land meaning and Books returns Scotland Yard first and appears to show most results for the land meaning. There are also 3 places in Devon called Yard. Cambridge Dictionary gives uses of the land meaning first. Disambiguation is consistent with those at {{Imperial units}}. - Support If there is no clear primary topic based on page views then there is likely not a primary here. The unit of measurement may have the most longterm significance, but it's certainly rivaled by the location meaning of yard (whether a yard at a house, a prison yard, pool yard, courtyard, etc).--Yaksar (let's chat) 18:52, 19 August 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose. Crouch, Swale has given the rationale for leaving it as the primary: the unit gets more than twice as many views as the spar, and way more than anything else. The "PTMs" (wtf?) are compunds and clearly couldn't be primary. Fiddling for fiddling's sake. Martin of Sheffield (talk) 20:23, 19 August 2020 (UTC)
- Only barely more than the others combined over other articles titled "Yard" if you take into account some of the sub topics of the land meaning (of which there are many more than the unit) and the others you could easily end up with a negative number which would mean no primary topic by either criteria. Crouch, Swale (talk) 20:28, 19 August 2020 (UTC)
- 2,439 + 1,541 + 40 + 32 + 21 = 4,073 which is around ⅔ of 6,108 – a bit more than "barely". Martin of Sheffield (talk) 13:54, 20 August 2020 (UTC)

- Support per nom.--Ortizesp (talk) 00:03, 20 August 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose in the absence of more convincing evidence that this is needed; as Martin of Sheffield says, the page views clearly show that this is the primary topic. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 09:19, 20 August 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose. The page views the nominator provides shows the unit of length to be the primary topic. -- Calidum 15:28, 21 August 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose. The measurement of length appears to be primary by usage. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 14:34, 22 August 2020 (UTC)
